This Beretta was returned from Italy at the end of WW2.These Mod 38s are regarded by many as WW2s best SMG

Very nice, thanks ajs, pic stickied for ref. :happy0180: I find that the people who refer to MAB. 38 series as the best smg of WW2 are those who are familiar with and have fired most all of the major ones ;) Hands down this was the best smg of WW2 IMHO. It's not like this series of smg was rare or obscure. The Germans ordered 250,000 MAB.38/42 when their MP.40 producers were going into the MP./StG.44 series. There are a number of accounts of allied troops in North Africa and Italy praising these and trying to get their hands on them.

Beautiful gun...sadly it seems like it's not long for this world.

Please let us know what happens...

Did I read that right? Cal 9 kurtz; .380, as in the M34 Beretta?

Nope, it's a different Italian word, moving the 9mm the other direction, hotter. The MAB.38s were designed for a very hot 9mm, but they run on regular 9mm as well. Running +P+ in a 9mm SMG like this really makes a difference in performance and it is over-engineered so it can handle all the +P+ 9mm you want to sling through it, even military stuff that might peel the top off a Glock.
