Something a little different for you guys. Hope you find it interesting.

On 30 May 1943, Rolf Werner, his wife Lieselotte, and their child became homeless when an allied bombing raid destroyed their home on Norrenbergstrasse in Barmen/Wuppertal. They were issued an identification for persons with property damage due to air raids and paid 2900RM in two installments. They moved next door into a house that had apparently not been destroyed in the same attack.
22 months later, the family duplicated the paper trail when their new home was destroyed in yet another bombing run on 13 March 1945. Fortunately for them, both documents note that no family members were injured in either attack.

Living today in Wuppertal Barmen it is for m very interesting to see.......i think i will have a walk to this point and the houses. Google earth is sometimes not matching, especially if you look for prewar housenumbers.
