Is this p38 holster original?

Bought a nice byf43 p38 this week and the seller included this holster at no charge. I believe it’s a police marked version from my very limited knowledge. If original it is in excellent condition. Thoughts ?

Yes late war police marked. I think they found an unissued pile of these and that's where they come from.

Yes, and it looks like a pretty big pile too. Several dealer sights have them.
