SVW45 98k

I need some input on a all matching SVW 98k I purchased this weekend. The question is the bolt, looks like a FN bolt, but with no suffix, could that happen? The fonts on the bolt look the same with no evidence of any tapering. Opinions please.
Thanks,
James

Well those bolt areas pictured certainly are not ground down and re-stamped, and I agree it is an FN bolt, so I’d say it’s legit. Can you show us the other markings on the various parts of the rifle and stock?

I have seen a couple of late Oberndorf rifles with missing letter designation on the bolt.
I see no issues with the bolt numbering.

This bolt also looks like for lack of conclusive evidence to be sandcasted. These bolts show up in the 'a' block of 45 production.
