EOD - bombs and bullets
Sauer 42 "n" Block...."e" block added...
I really lucked into this one earlier this week, local DFW guy was helping to liquidate his Uncles gun collection which was mainly lever guns and SAA pistols...he wasn't sure on this one, and posted a few pics and wanted to know potential value. I gave him some ranges depending on matching, condition, then PM'd him that I would be happy to look it over and perhaps purchase it.
He said he would be happy to have me look at it, and we met last night...It was very nice, I made him an offer, he called his aunt, she was thrilled, and I am the new owner.
Sauer "n" block 1942 gun...I don't think it was ever out of the wood, when I disassembled it, it still had the sealing wax/gunk between the metal and wood. Stock is super crisp. Came with a really nice sling, rod and hood, all original to the gun I believe...The sling is marked dl(?) 42 I believe (its a bit faint), and frosch is marked COG...
Paul, the bolt body only has a number "6" stamped on the back face, as shown, other than the s/n...also barrel code is a cursive letter (pictured) G, and two E/37's, thats it...
I think I pretty much got everything in the pics...
I was super happy to actually get one out of the woodwork so complete and nice!
