1906 DWM Berlin Gew 98

I am meeting this afternoon to inspect this Rifle. Seller is not very responsive, but sent these pictures. Sorry, it’s all I have for now. Based on what he’s telling me it’s sitting in a k98k stock. Let’s assume nothing matches, but not a RC or import marked. Worth $500?

With the blued receiver and restamped serial number, my bet is that it’s a Spanish Civil War era rework. (Though the Kar98k laminate stock is not typical for those, that could have been added by a later owner.) It might have some decent parts, but probably not worth $500, maybe $250-$300.
