Sawback without Markings

I picked this up yesterday. I thought it was unusual because it has no maker markings or date on the spine. Any info. on these? I've never seen one before.

Anyone should compare the inspector proof with A.Carter publication, anyway it doesnt looks like Solingen proof, so possible smaller facility outside of Solingen, middle war post 1915. b.r.Andy

S98/05nA without maker's marks and royal cypher/spine date are not uncommon. Can you post close-up pics of the pommel fraktur stamping?

I need to get Carter's book. I have the hardest time deciphering Imperial marks.
