It’s a damn shame they buffed and reblued it. What ya gonna do though.

It's posts on rifles like this that keep me going. I've had fitful dreams of finding a sporter like that!

That was my impression as well Dave. Inquiring minds want to know. Looks like a good upper, possibly. I would buy it if the price was reasonable.
 
Cool find. Looks like the scope and rings are late Low Turret while the base rifle is a High Turret.
 
I got one of those things also...monte carlo stock ,and all...cept mine is a sauer lsr with a dow topper..

Had it for awhile now and still havent got it out of the stock.

One of these days...(hopefully)

Could You remove the Scope from the Rifle and post pics showing same areas of Your Scope Underside of Front & Rear Rings . that I show in my reference photos. Thank You
