totally blank s84/98

Picked this up with a bunch of others.. the rest are gone.

no scabbard but interesting its totally void of any marks. Took photos next to a 40 dated example. Fit and finish seems consistent with the 41/42 period.

I have seen plenty of blank type Police marked or late commercial types but never totally un marked

Looks like nice Behoerden Typ of S84/98,possible the pommel is more curved as typical, it could be not accepted piece by Army, later used by non WaA proofed contracts, the finish looks like 42 period as mentioned here. b.r.Andy
 
thanks Andy.. just one of those oddballs that turn up along the way. I would be great to find a nice totally blank scabbard for it but, I'm sure they are non existent
 
Nice bayonet ..... Looks like it was made by Carl Eickhorn. You should be able to find a scabbard if you are patient in looking. Would need an early post-1941 type without the incised lines on the face of the frog hanging hook.
 
Well, if anyone has a spare or finds one in their travels please let me know..Id love to mate this thing up !!
