Insignia Found in Box

I lost my grandfather a week ago and we have been going through boxes and boxes of items. We found a box in the attic with his perfectly folded and preserved Air Force uniforms (1955-1959) and we also found this in it. It is in equally great condition and has me skeptical, but knowing him and how he kept things, I would also not be surprised it is real. We aren't sure how or when he would have gotten ahold of this, but if it is real, it is one of those finds I always have wished would happen, but never thought would. I hope for good news on this and I can take more pictures if need be.

It’s a Heer uniform breast Eagle in Bevo weave, looks original. Not really rare, but you know where it came from which is cool!

Yes, it was inside of a large bag from a gift shop in Washington DC, that was in the bottom of the box, which has been very good us!
