I picked this one up last Monday from a friend. Seems to be all matching except the cleaning rod is off by two digits. All comments are welcome.

Standard Modell

I have a problem with the bolt serial.
In this serial number range, the bolt should be blued and the last 4-digits
applied to the bolt flat, along with the standard commerical proof marks.

IMO, renumbered bolt.

Moosedog, here is an example to show what Bruce says. You should be able to blow up the picture. Regards, JH

Thanks. I talked to my friend and will drive it back to his shop on Wednesday. He said he was fine with it. We've known each other for a long time.
Thanks for pointing out the problem. Smith & Wesson's I know, but Mausers I'm still learning.

Hi, my name is Kurt and Iam a new member from Germany . Please excuse my bad English.
I have a Mauser Banner Modell- Standard with Serial Number B 41354. My Father bougtht this rifle in Germany in 1972 . The main component are equal numbers exept for Bolt. The stock is made walnut and in a verry good condition. Iam right in the assumption that this rifle was build between 1934 and 1937 ?
I think the rifle never left Germany . It could be possyble that itwent to the SA or the SS .
Next time I will put a few pictures in the forum. It would be nice to learn a little more about this rifle. It shoots excellently,
