BYF 42 advice

These are the pictures I have so far. It looks pretty good to my novice eyes. This one is over $1k, so I would like some advice before jumping in. BYF42 cc block. Magazine, floor plate, and front band seem to match, which to me indicates the stock is matching. Follower is unnumbered which seems coorect. Working on getting better pictures of the floor plate, trigger guard, and bolt. Opinions?

Few pictures of the bolt. Does the bolt numbering bring up any red flags? Floor plate numbers also attached. Also, no numbering on the sling band, just the front one. How does that impact value?

If one of the bands is not numbered it then unfortunately falls into the mismatch category which does matter for value. How much?? I'd say if it's the only part it would still drop the value by 1/3 in my book. . No guarantees on stock matching until you see the numbers, hand guard too. Byf42 is a difficult year to find in bring back form.

Seller is asking $1100 with a bayonet (no scabbard) and a sling. Seller didn't mention anything about the internal stock numbers. My gut is telling me to hold off for one that's complete/fully matching, which is what I think i'm going to do

Better be cautious if the seller isn’t sending stock pictures. If it is the correct stock the price is good, if it’s a bad stock then it’s way too much.

byf was the 3 letter manufacturers code for the Mauser Oberndorf factory and 42 is the year made.

I would agree with this! Not enough photos of stock to make an informed decision on that rifle. Should be WaA 135 marked and numbered in the barrel channel and handguard. Check the photo reference for byf 42's and see what a good stock (unsanded) should look like.
