I picked this up this week with a foot locker full of uniforms, bayonets, fighting knife and photos from the widow of a recently deceased WW2 veteran.

Looks like a nice Maschinenhaus Ferlach production under code bym, 1941, interesting the locking nut is not flashed with pommel, even the press button looks like a origin never dissmounted. It should be good oiled as there is a plum blue on blade. b.r.Andy

The locking stud is also numbered 50. It’s hard to get a good picture of it.
 
Really nice piece, thanks for sharing. Like the finish. I have seen these issues with the fitting of the retaining pin and nut on other Ferlach production. Note also the punch "staked" retaining nut.
