Fraud always includes a false statement, misrepresentation or deceitful conduct. The purpose is to gain something of value, usually money, by misleading or deceiving someone into believing something that the perpetrator knows to be false.

It's situations like this that makes being a member here is so important.

Thankfully we have this forum.

Doesn't appear to be the same upper band. The band in the original post photo has wear markings on it that do not appear on the humped rifle.

That's the same band. Just different angle look at the bottom left marks

I believe that is the same upper band, only that someone has numbered it. Sometimes smudges can appear as wear markings. If you look at the actual dings and metal distortions, they appear to be nearly identical.

Yep. Same old band, new numbers. :googlie I think to Pre-98's credit it looks like six years from when it first appeared here until the humped version appeared for sale. Without a chain of custody we don't know who humped it.

As I posted on the last page Hercules owned this until last summer. It was offered for sale to me in the condition he originally posted it in. Since then it has turned into this

Don’t forget the Zf41 with a fake serial number on the scope mount, in my opinion, he had earlier this year.

Maybe Hercules can comment on who purchased the rifle from him.

Oh yeah! Sure enough Matt, hard to keep up! Just the tip of the iceberg too, and I can’t even comment on the other weapons there that I don’t study, so probably even more prolific than I know.

Did anyone take screen shots of the ad with the rifle serial showing without a doubt it to be the same rifle? That needs to be posted here.

Serial numbers from the ad

From PC is it easy to upload pics to site. As long as I pay my Tapatalk bill they seem to never disappear, heck I can't even figure out how to delete from their servers, but I agree it is better to post pics directly on site. Consider Tapatalk links backup lol.

Just curious is there a way to upload to forum site directly through Tapatalk?

It's is clearly the same band. Most of the small scratches in the finish match exactly.
