Hello,

I have a mg34 and I can't help to notice this ss on it? It also has a S in the sn of the gun..I havent seen that on other ones before? Is this nothing or maybe something?Thanks

Don't know what it might signify, but it wouldnt have anything to do with the SS, they'd be runes...
 
Replacement ejector plates have various markings including the SS marking on yours. I have several of these. The serial number on your receiver is not original German. They are marked like rifles, with a lower case letter under the serial number. Regards, JH

Yeah you are correct I think mine has tnw on the side. I was told it was a modified re welded togeather reciever from parts. Thanks for the info

Not meant as a criticism, I thought it might be a rewelded post sample gun or a semi build. Many had the original receiver serial number replaced to make the new rewelded receiver match the parts kit numbers. Regards, JH
