This is an unfinished long side rail. We collectors call them 3 hole rifles. They are worth a good amount if the rifle is all matching.
 
Assuming this is a repro but I've never seen one...

Probably a late unfinished lsr. Should be in the late 2000- 10000 serial range. Probably even later with no final on top of the receiver, probably a gun you should buy if the stock isn’t sanded or it’s cheap. Safety is real.

It does have some nice late war unnumbered parts, mostly stamped. The safety is certainly attractive. I'm guessing it's worth a fair amount. But yeah, 1500 is high for essentially a pile of reassembled parts.
 
Safety doesn’t match the bolt? If the stock isn’t sanded I’d buy it, should have chatter. Assuming it isn’t the one you posted with the Steyr eagle H, if it is then meh again.

Stock cut out for the base is not right. So I’m guessing the stock is not original to the rifle. I’d pass at that price.
