new member needs help

hello all, i'm a new member and located in Blaine Wa
I'm a lover of anything that goes boom, has fur and gills

i have two Mausers I need help identifying them

one says model 98... 43 bcd ...not sure of caliber

the other says nothing but THIS
CLSKOSLOVENSKA ZBROJOVKA,A.S,BRNO with a scroll on top of the receiver that says libertad is des... dei8 half is worn off


serial numbers are in the low 3xxx and i can send pics from my phone for now to an email. so not sure where to post for info.

both are sporterized

Welcome aboard. If the bcd43 is it's original caliber it will be 8mm made in 1943 at the Gustloff plant in Germany. The other sounds like a type of Czech made 8mm, not my area of expertise but you have come to the right place.

Is there anyone I can send pics to to have a look? The safety seems different, I believe its a wing type? Not like my argentine. I measured the bore of the bcd and I kinda thought it was 8mm the other one I’m not sure.
