SS Extraseitengewehr Frog...or is it???

Comments, anyone??? Current owner stated "Frog has (SS) stamped on the rear, dated 1944, 1/36 maker “Berg & Nolte, Lüdenscheid” & RVM".

As visible its mounted on a combat S84/98 which is too large for the pouch, mostly it would be damaged by removing, the piece could be dress frog for KS98 with additional fake SS stamp, the font 1944 are certainly postwar. the marking is wrong. b.r.Andy

Metal Shop eh? Has B & N L made other frogs? I thought they made metal awards.
 
Fake stamp. 1/36 indicates maker 1 by RZM code and year 1936. This is a late war frog if original and 1944 contradicts that 36. Plus stamp show no age as well.

here it should be probably the RZM maker code-M1/36 Berg & Nolte AG, Lüdenscheid, but its for insignia M1 not for leather equipment. Is no typical that dress frogs were marked in similar way, 95% are unmarked.
