My Third Browning Model 1922, E/140 Variant

EOD - bombs and bullets
So at a show this weekend, and was able to pick up my third Browning Model 1922 variant fron the shop I picked up a bunch of other cool pistols last year...this one has been kicking around for a while, so I got it for a good price, shouldn't have, but couldn't say no to this variant.

It is a very late "c" block, very much towards end of German production 1922, right before the Germans abandoned the factory. It is all matching, and fully marked E/140 variant.

The one thing I haven't found anything on is the (H) marking on the slide forward of the main mark...I am going to post it on the Luger forums, maybe Anthony Vanderlinden will have an idea on it, but I couldn't find any mention of that mark in his book...

So now I have 3 variants of this little pistol...a Dutch contract that was captured and put into service with the Luftwaffe, and brought home by the father of a family friend, the E/613 variant, and the E/140 with wood grips variant.

The 1922 could be a whole collection focus on its own, still lots of different variants out there to track down if desired...actual Belgian used guns, Turkish contract, Yugo contract, other Dutch contract variants...and mainly can be had relatively cheap compared to more popular collecting genres....
