Very nice example. They are out there but expensive. Now find a second K block in blue. That took me 40 years to find a decent one. I have seen about the same number of bnz slide marked guns as Blue normal guns in the second K block. Even harder, find an original bnz slide marked gun in blue, seen one. Congrats on a great find. These guns are extremely interesting.

The barrel has first 3 numbers 554 as is standard
Actually, last 3 digits is standard. Here’s a few I have, both late phosphate guns. So mismatched but likely a factory error.

Great Pistol Jack , the Holster is in Super Cond. as well . I am not into pistols really , but I really do like these Late Phosphate Radom Pistols . They just have a look to them thats hard to not like .

Hi Matt we will find you a good one a SOS Thanks for the kind words. I need to get pics of it but was so thrilled to get it, it got cleaned and stored. It was expensive but the best I have seen.
Any Phosphate VIS is a treasure IMO. The holster is a beauty.
I remember passing on a minty BNZ in phosphate, two late mages with p-38 followers and a minty holster. Big mess up. It was $1500 in about 1993, big money then. There are a few bnzs, second K block, in blue. I have seen only one.

Nice late vis! I recently upgraded my very worn 3 lever with another with nice strong blue finish. Question on the mag pouch on the holster, does it seem too big for the vis magazine? I have 2 bnz holsters, one came with the vis and is marked p35 p and one that came with my browning high power and is marked p35b. What I have researched is that the b is for belgium for the high power p35.

Great catch...some of these holsters have a known die mistake and the b is printed instead of p. Whittington and several other sources note this. The only mag that will fit in this one is a Radom mag.

Very nice Mike. Keep them or regret it. I am guessing less than 20000 VIS in phosphate. The late blue guns, the second B block and second K, have to be less than half that?? Hopefully some numbers will get nailed down. The Vanderlin book was good but we need more data. These are rugged amazing pistols. I would use one over any other German issued pistol but the luger is way more accurate, just less reliable IMO.
