I got this from a collector friend. He got this and some other German guns from a old lady how know that there was some weapons hidden some where in the loft - here husband is dead and she will not have guns in the house. After some hours on the loft he found the k98 in a hidden room together with some some small guns ammo and a lot of resistance stuff.

The k98 have some issues - no numbers on many pieces - MM - maybe a "put together k98". The k98 have NOT seen the light for many years. I have NOT clean it.

Thoughts??

Interesting find for sure. Big block bnz 44, SS contract by Steyr, with a mismatched Mauser Oberndorf bolt. Stock has been cleaned. Would be interested to hear about what else was in the stash.

Nice find. Hope ya got it for a decent price. Sure would be nice to see what other items were discovered. Am sure some old foot lockers out there still with war trophies in them.

The unnumbered parts are correct on this one. I guess the guy before you cleaned it, it’s been cleaned aggressively. But a great find.
