Possible polish k29 modified or kar98az

saw this photo posted elsewhere and wanted to share it here for those who hadn't seen it. I figured this subsection might be the most appropriate . Not knowing what variant in might be . As I'm typing I think I answered my own question but it could also be a Polish reworked kar98 but doubt it.

I once owned a flat new rebuilt Police kar98az.. It was an amazing rifle. I think it could be this rifle..LOL

Lots of interesting things in this photo. Police recruit in training foreign conscript ? Czech helmet with police badging being trained by an old salt of an officer..

Interesting photo, I've not seen a helmet of exactly that style and elements, but I rarely collect anything outside of the rifles themselves.

It's a Kar.98, and these definitely saw some use in WWII, but with secondary/tertiary personnel. I have one that went through the depot at Posen:

its a prewar Czech helmet utilized by the Germans.. Most were painted blue and used by the Luftschutz This is being re-purposed for police and I have seen a couple legit type with Heer decal.

The k29 has a squared off base on the stacking rod that's how I determined it wasn't a k29 as I was typing.

It is not Polish K98. As mentioned stacking rod is different. Also stock has typical German butt sling slot. Polish stocks were different.
