Third Party Press

Boredom killer thread, post you favourite rifle. The absolute last you’d sell.

The last German firearm I'd part with isn't a K98 or even WW2 issue. It's a Merkel double rifle that belonged to my late father. Caliber 470 NE. Someday I'll kill one of the Big Five with it. As a current production rifle it is not even slightly collectible.

Restricting this to just German used weapons makes for a rather uninteresting dilemma for me. The only German items I own are a bog standard 1944 Brunn k98k and 1942 Mauser p08. Now both are nice condition matching pieces don’t get me wrong, but neither would cause me an emotional crises if I had to part with them though.

It’s also in the book “Hitler’s Garands”. All matching, stock is outstanding and stamped appropriately where it’s supposed to be. I didn’t have an overall pic or a pic of the stock keel proof stamp. These are not my photos but from the seller I bought it from.

Wow!! Awesome Tiger 2. Would not part with that for any amount either. Well worth the expense to own something so mint and rare.

Mine would be this (now) restored R/C bnz43 SS contract rifle that Mike once owned. No firing proof, no final acceptance. Paul (Loewe) got me interested in SDP rifles so this one is very interesting to me. I bought it through the trader here on the forum and Mike told me never to sell it!!

Tiger 2 Tank that is a great looking K43 sniper. Please post detailed pictures in a thread (if you haven't already).

A byf 44 P.38 is the only one I will never sell. Not the best condition, but all matching with mag and holster. This was my grandfathers who fought in France and Belgium. He never spoke about the war, not once. I inherited this from him and it will never be for sale.

Mine is my first and only K98k Mauser. An all matching AX41 that I picked up back in 2013 thanks to the advice I received here.
