    Default 1927 VZ24 e/607 rework

Reacquisition #3. 1927 VZ24 reworked by the VZ24 repair depot at BRNO (e/607). Rifle metal matches self, bolt matches self, but unfortunately stock matches neither. Original sling and muzzle cover. Bore is absolutely gorgeous.

Can't take good pics or do much as I've been home from surgery for an hour.

Intriguing stamp on the sling. Unfortunately it will be a month before I can look in detail.

Buttstock is of slovakian production for G24(t), so there should be serial numbers as by Kar98k, the metall was changed in war or postwar, the bolt with reciever and barell are both missmatches. E/607 is a proof of ZB ,second plant in Povazska Bystrica,Slovakia. b.r.Andy

It looks like it is a modified Vz.24 stock. The wrist swivel has been removed and filled in, and a sling slot has been cut into it.

Took it down one handed tonight - I had my right rotator cuff done for the second time Wednesday. Typing this with one finger. Surprised it came apart so easily; no oil, light tension on screws, finger pressure on front band, etc. Alas the stock channel had the same serial as the keel, and the handguard was different as well; #6644. I don't think this is a post war parts gun; it fit together too precisely and came apart too easily like it had been this way a long time. No buggering on the screws. Sling and muzzle cover are original.
