Hello, I am a newbie to the form and new owner for this Mauser. From what I understand this rifle was made by Waffen-Werke Brunn AG in 1942? I am trying to get it original as I can. So can anyone recommend a good resource or recommend what I need? I have an original rear sight but thatís it. Thanks jw

I would pause before restoring this rifle. Youíre going to end up with two times itís value in parts, and itís still drilled and tapped.
Actually I am the master of REAL information! Cartoon characters like you have no real arguments.

If you look at picture 2, you can see an aftermarket rear sight has been installed by the bolt

    Default Its what i have

Unfortunately its what i have. They are getting increasingly harder to find. And this rifle has been on my list for a while. If i can come across a simular rifle i feel that i can always swap the parts over. But thats my 2 cents. Thanks jw

Itís not totally a lost cause, if you want to bring it back itís just gonna cost more to restore it than itís value. That said, Iíve done it before just because. You can always part of out when you sell it. Is the barrel altered where the rear sight was? We need a few more pics.
