Information on a purchase

Just in the process of purchasing my first kar98. I have been doing some research the last couple weeks on my own and have settled on a dot. Everything matches except the stock. It does have pitting under the wood and in a few other spots. No blueing left in many areas. No cracks in the wood. Overall it’s in rough shape but rifling seems to be okay bore has some mild pitting aswell. but I’d rather have that then a Frankenstein mix match of parts from a capture or god knows what else. The seller seems to be very honest and upfront with everything very knowledgable. I’m not looking to get a collector grade firearm or looking for an investment just something to give the warm fuzzy feeling and go shoot every once in a while. Just looking for any information a guy can give me on their opinion on the firearm and any information on its history.
Thanks!

Post a pic of the stock serial number. I’m curious.
I never got one yet. Waiting to receive it then I could put some up. What do ya think of it? He took good pictures but once they condense down to post on here hard to tell lots of the detail.

Not that it’s pivotal as you already mentioned it’s m/m but the stock is off of a JP Sauer. Congrats on your first 98k, best kind of first rifle to get IMO, enjoy it!

I will! Nothing jumps out at you as far as red flags for authenticity, excessive wear, condition issues etc?
