Tks Bill. A couple of those aren't Vz.24s. One is an actual pic of Hungarian G43Ms and another is Chilean cadets or something with the Steyr M29, from which the "G.29o" came. Here's another cool one:

The second photo in your first post appears to show something more uncommon than Vz-24's or G.24(t)'s--it appears to be Hungarian 35M's or 43M's.

I guess you know this. I was working on my post when you posted your last message.

Yep, it was mixed in with my Vz. pics. One day I'll find one of a G.98/40 in use. There is one in that book Wenn Alles Bruder Schweigen or Swimmin or whatever. W-SS in a halftrack on the Ost Front.

This guy was a pistol collector..

That's a great pic TA, of a 33/40. There are others in that series. He's having those Russian prisoners dig a grave for the dead tankers, or maybe (hopefully not) having them dig their own graves as well.

Cool set of photos I found last night. 3AD crewman from the M26 Pershing that destroyed the famous Köln Panther inspecting their handiwork. The main gun is still pointing down the street, so this was taken probably no more than a day or two afterward. The man with the carbine is Assistant Driver Homer Davis, but Assitant Gunner John Deriggi is carrying around a recently captured G24t! Stock appears to be laminated so later production?

Found a cool one with a takedown disc. Note rubber muzzle cover and sight protector installed. Appears the cleaning rod is missing:

Here is one I have been meaning to post...it is an original WWII Postcard, of the "Unsere Waffen SS" series...it is entitled "Spahtruppen im Kampf"

It may be a little hard to see in my photo of the card, but two of the guys are using stright handled rifles with full handguards...I see aa stock disc in one of them, so it is either a G-24(t) and a VZ or two G-24's....

Neat pic in any case...the guy in the foreground has a 98k...

These are the ones I found trawling archives. If they have already been shown, I apologise.

I hope that was a posed picture. The muzzle blast from the rear rifleman would have been the LEAST of the forward shooter's worries...'Communicate' is an essential part of the combat triangle of 'Shoot, Move, Communicate.'
