71/84 Jäger "Model"

Hi all,

I picked this one up from Diehard/Phil when he was moving a bunch of rifles last year. This was a screamer of a 71/84 Jäger (to the extent a change to a sling swivel is considered a model!), but was missing the special rear sling swivel. I managed to find a needle in a haystack and came across a loose swivel on eBay. With this installed it really came together. I just wanted to share the end result.

The rifle is a matching 1888 Spandau with a cool Garde Reserve Jäger unit marking.

Such a nice rifle! These early state arsenal guns really were a quality product. It would be a neat comparison to see all four side by side.
