Hello, everyone:
I recently purchased an interesting Mauser rifle:
It appears to be a Polish Mauser that has no chamber marking(not scrubbed, just never had one applied), a 5 digit serial number with no suffix and a Delta triangle mark immediately following the serial number on the receiver and on the bolt.
Would this be a a late 1939 “mobilization” rifle, pressed into service after initially being rejected by the Polish army inspectors? (Similar to the delta marked Polish VIS pistols)
If so - how rare are these?
Thank you!
