Always wondered about why the left side of the reciever had a flat ground on it.
It was obviously done prior to rolling the Mod.98 on it.

Probably just poor manufacturing, should be a Gusen shop made part from the looks of the rear bridge machine marks. You could post some images from under the wood that may help decide if it’s reclaimed but I have seen similar flat spots in others. The Gusen shop was really terrible at making them.

Is that another flat directly below the serial on the barrel, or just the glare? Also, the bolt handle doesn't appear to have the correct bend?

No glare just the camera angle. Bolt bend is correct. When I get
home I'll dessamble it and take more photos with better lighting.
 
Whoa if this was a car I’d say it was a Monday or a Friday car! What in the world is going on with that cocking piece??? Nice gun by the way!!
