This thread will be dedicated to everything related to the G/K43 and G41 Sniper rifles and mounts. Please post any pictures or threads with good info here.

When posting a link to a thread please post the rifle maker and serial number for quicker reference in the future. Please don't post rifles without matching scope mounts as we have no way of knowing if it ever was a sniper. The only exception to this rule are QVE 45 rifles with the Zf4 K43 marked stocks. Thanks in advance for your help.

Begining of G43 K43 sniper rifle production

Hello,

ddx scope production started in 1943 and first pattern G43 manual (including a section about ZF4 scope and mount ) is dated 25.10.43.

As far as I know, there is no surviving example of G43 sniper rifle date late 43 and early 44.

Is it due to the fact that all these weapons were sent to the dreadful eastern front and may have been destroyed, with no surviving example, or because they do not exist ? The WH missed sniper rifles at that time.

How can we assume that no G43 sniper rifles were issued before july 1944 ?

best regards,

Xavier

There won't be many of these. The Swept Back category fits best here in my opinion. I think you should add Swept Back Snipers to this category based on time frame it was made and the type of mounting system (Scopes are basically the same, except markings). Of course it is your thread and this is only a suggestion.
