That's pretty cool Willem. They would have been better off grabbing him, he was high value and the intel would have been good if they could have gotten any, though I doubt that would have changed anything. Their intel certainly wasn't good for the area of the drop.
 
Operation "Market-Garden", a good example of underestimating your enemy.
It also showed the vulnerability of airborne troops, the Germans experienced it in The Hague and even more of course in Crete, they learned their lessen in May 1941, the allies in September 1944.
