K98 sling keeper marking

So I was digging through my parts today and came across this sling keeper. On the back it is marked '*something* HARDT' and below it, look like a very faint 'NN'
The bummer is that the left half of the marking is long gone, so everything mentioned is the right half of the marking that's still there. There are no markings on the other side. The metal part is steel, not brass.

I've dug around online and can't find any mention of any maker that had 'HARDT' in their name. So I'm just wondering who the maker was, when it was made, and which sling/rifle for.

Meaning interwar Karab 98b? Or early K98? etc

Thanks in advance!

Richard Ehrhardt of Pössneck in Thüringen. From the pics it appears to be WWII period for the K98k.

Perfect thank you! Odd that I can't find any reference to that maker anywhere

Interesting. They were a large leather producing concern. Manufactured holsters, helmet chin straps, ammunition pouches, bayonet frogs, combat belts and many other items. Also issued the three letter code of bdr which can be found on many of their items.
