KM Horster bayonet

I would like to share my new KM bayonet.
It is matching Horster 38 bayonet, that shows 6077 (d block) serial numbers and KM own numbers O.12014 k on scabbard and blade and 6037 assembly numbers on lug button and under the grips.
Also, I found big waffenamt 253 and capital M under handle plates.
The bayonet is in nice condition and has black paint on it.
The blade is well preserved and has lacquer coating or something like that...

Very nice navy you have. Great pictures. I have never took any of my Navy bayonets a part to see inside the grips. I always was afraid of braking a screw or stripping one. . Did it come with a Navy Frog ? I 'm sure the Navy painted there scabbards black. the 3 that I had owned where all painted black scabbards. But I have had some that where not painted black. Maybe ones aboard ships and subs where the ones painted black. Just my theory.

Nice KM marked one, in correct range, the handle and scabbard are black painted probably , about period is hard to say, on some KM were black paint observed as a preservation when bluein damaged, the blade coat is strange should be probably removed, as normally the blade should be preserved by scabbard.
