Bahnpolizei holster

I just picked up this holster marked twice inside for Bahnpolizei Regensburg. To me, it looks like a FN Browning M22 holster. The seller thought maybe it was used for a Walther PP. The serial numbers are not Walther numbers but could be FN Browning.
Anyone familiar with pistols used by the Bahnpolizei? Did they also use Browning M22’s?
Holster is marked bml 41.

Hey Jon. good to hear from you..! yes the fn 1922 holster is easy to spot due to the long nose of the holster.
Looks like the rest of your questions have been answered. Interesting holster and pistol shown.

Hey Wayne, hope you are doing well.
That is a cool pistol with the Bahnpolizei and US zone markings. I’m assuming my holster is a WW2 era holster recycled for postwar use. From research I did I think the Bahnpolizei became the Bahnschutzpolizei around 1939 or 1940.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look promising for the July Allentown show as our Governor still has the Allentown area in total lockdown. (Democrat asshat).

My pistol was made circa 1949, so the pistol's serial on the holster, being 2000 away, is probably 1949 or 1950. I wish I had a holster like that to go with my pistol. Nice find.
