The other day I had a local shop contact me about this one. The dealer claims that he purchased it from the elderly son of a vet which I tend to believe but he knew no other information about it. With the help of the book Kriegsmodell and a friend who is a member here I vetted the numbered parts and determined it to be truly matching. I know this date and maker combo is among the most common but the condition got me on it. This is my second matching K98k, the other being a C block 1942 Steyr and I’m quite pleased with it.
