The star stamp here is similar to one on the barrel of my bcd 43, did it have particular meaning, or a location-specific origin?

Slash Gray Ghost Moderator Staff member May 24, 2020 #5 The piece was originally wartime rejected, hence the star/flower stamp at the pommel. It was then refurbished/renumbered at least twice. Has also been reblued and the grip scales are replacements. Unknown when all of this occurred.
