G33/40 Bayonet

Recent pickup. Interesting that it was made in '43 but they stopped production of the G 33/40 in '42. I'll have to read up more on these.

Nice bayonet. They were not exclusively for the G33/40 .....

Ah ok, that explains it. Someone had told me when I bought it they thought that other rifles were converted to accept these?

Its S24(t) a german contract bayonet that was produced in Zbrojovka Brno, plant Brno, that could be used on all Mauser 98 rifles with standart Mauser 98 bayonet adapter, also on Gew98,Kar98a, Kar98k, Gew98/40, czechoslovak Vz.23, Vz.24, yugoslavian M24, polish K29, G98 etc. Rifles were not accepted to bayonet, mostly refrubishment were done by accepting bayonet to rifles.
