LPVOs have come a LONG way in a relatively short amount of time. Two of my ARs have them, and they really offer alot in terms of function and versatility. It's not just being able to see farther, but being able to look from a distance into darker places, like shaded areas and windows or other open spaces. The etched reticles are really nice and still stand up well in case a battery dies or electronics get compromised.
