Hello all, building a rifle from pieces for a scoped setup. Purchased a stock and a "new old stock" trigger guard. Installed it and there are gaps. What would be the correct trigger guard? I'm unsure of the stock maker either because I do not see any waffenamps anywhere. Trying to make a period correct byf 43. As thats the original stamps on the receiver i started with. So I was under the impression all milled parts would have been present judging off of similar serial number rifles. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

But also beware there are K98 trigger guards out there that were augmented by Norway post war, to shoot the NATO 30-06 round. Many folks will sell you one without disclosing this and due to the extension of the magazine well, will NOT fit a standard untouched original K98 stock. It will however fit a post war used Norway stock as they have been inletted to do so. Photo reference.. straight original k98 mag well on an unaltered original and "bulged front" mag well on an altered version. Know your stock origin before buyiing one. Just post a photo of your stock's mag well area if you're still confused, I would be.. lol.
