The condition of the bayonet is what sealed the deal. At least the scabbard is a Mundlos
But for later years. The screw slots in th he heads of the screws are a bit messed up.
Does changing the screws out with better original period ones affect the value of bayonets?
I assume the grips are matching to bayonet, so even the screws are little damaged by wrong tool when dissasemble proofing, i would tend to remain on this condition.
I'm a machinist so I was planning to make a correctly fitting dissambly tool.
I'll wait to make certain the screws I am receiving are actually WWII screws.
I won't even consider changing them out if the screws are repros.
Dsm34s have that same screw nut on their sling studs. I took a dremel and bench grinder to a pos screwdriver. It did the trick. Best to use a hollow screwdriver though
