Photos don't show up, only links... is this normal for the forum?

Hope this is not a silly question, but I'm used to forums where once you join and have logged on the pictures show in the posts instead of just the links. Here all I get are the links which I have to click on to see each picture. I've tried in both Google Chrome and IE and it's the same. Just wanted to ask in case I have to reset something on my end or ?

Post a few times and your account is activated and everything will be normal. Spammers and scammers are an increasing issue for forums, ours included, and all of the hoops are intended to frustrate them (which works).
