    Real nice rifle. I love the walthers. I've got two W's. I used to have one very close to yours. 1179a.

    Thats one beauty you got there Hambone, I also own one close to yours (8970a) but the stock isn't even close to the condition of yours (sanded).

    Wow I have one damn close to yours-- 5137a. How about that, only 30 rifles apart. They must have rolled out of the Walther plant on the same day!!

    Awesome looking rifle by the way.

    Tks guys. Meridius, that's pretty cool. There are a good number of these that show up in pics of the Normandy fighting. Could have been souveniered at the same time, or maybe just surplused at the same time.

    Hambone, I just realized my 5137a has muzzle cone 5162... very close to yours. I imagine parts were swapped during cleaning? Is the cone matching on your rifle?
