Blank Reciever VZ-24

Finally was able to take some pictures of my Vz-24. The research I have been able to do seems to be a gun assembled with parts from the factory around 1940 testing different features and parts ie sling configurations. Got this a long time ago for my birthday from someone who claimed it was a bring back.

Normal early G24(t) with spare recievers from romanian contract, unfortunally laquered buttstock, visible E/607 proofs on parts. I would personally remove the lack from butt, but wout damage the stamps.

I would expect the upper band to be numbered on a rifle produced under German control. Maybe it was replaced at some point?

The upper band is correct. I have a 1941 & a 1942 and neither one has numbered bands, just Czech markings. The ones in the pic stickies do not have numbered bands either.

Any suggestion on any way to do this ? Although the dark color is lovely. It would be nice to see the markings better though.

Very cool!! I like the proto G.24(t) rifles even more than the fully developed, 'standard' type. Neat features on this one.

As others stated it's an interesting period piece and transitional rifle. These have really been gaining in both popularity and price it seems. Maybe they're becoming more understood and appreciated? Thanks for sharing!

You are correct. I was confusing that with some of the modified VZ24's that got some numbered parts.
