K43 sniper at the movies

I like watching old B-movies from the 40s and 50s and saw this last night watching a Bogart movie I had never seen before, The Enforcer from 1951. A K43 sniper!

It only has the one appearance on the rooftop unfortunately. Here is a high quality clip of the scene on Youtube:

Always wonder where all those "WW2 movie guns" wound up going, and especially the old western stuff. There were no repro's back then, I still kringe when I see how they just tossed them in the dirt and bounced off the rocks etc. I have seen on occasion some with studio property markings.

Yeah me too dave! I have read that a lot of those six shooters in the cowboy flicks were actually guns made by Great Western that was producing Colt single action knock-offs in the 50s-60s. The thought of a genuine SAA being tossed on the ground makes me cringe too!
 
You’ll see lots of G-43’s in the old tv show COMBAT!...don’t recall a sniper version though.

Yeah , watched a episode last night call "War of The Roses, German in 2nd story window fires, gets shot and drops it out the window. :facepalm:
