Lion Crested VZ-24

I acquired this one from a small auction house in Texas. It appears to be all original matching to my eyes and it has the closet find look about it. The acceptance date is 1936, there are no import marks and the only German feature I can find on this gun is the follower has been modified to prevent closing on an empty mag. Any other input is welcomed.

Thanks guys! Front band has a couple Czech inspection stamps but it’s not numbered. I should’ve taken a closeup earlier.

Front band is definitely a replacement. The front band on my 1926 and 1937 rifles are both sans markings

Good eye I did not notice the front band. I don't think the Czechoslovakians were numbering the front band by 1936.

They weren't. Only the very first VZ-24 rifles had serials on them, and even then, it was for a short period.

This may explain the inspection stamps on the front band. This comes from an older thread on Gunboards with a similar 1936 Vz-24.

The range is not confirmed for older parts assembly, it was on 1935 production, series prior M3 so more real a german added there a replacement armorer front band, its mostly from Vz.23 production probably, when replaced follower in magazine.
