Good Morning All,

I have the opportunity to scarf up on a nice old Steyr Mauser in partial trade for a collectible car I am selling. While I have been around firearms my entire life, my knowledge of old Mausers is limited at best. I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum, if it's not...admin can move it over to the appropriate forum. Attached are some photos of the rifle. Any and all information and thoughts are appreciated. Thank you in advance yous guys! It's chambered in 6.5x57 (which I am to understand was not a military cartridge). It's in good overall shape with almost all bluing intact and no chips or cracks in the stock.

Billy

Looks like a classic Steyr Mannlicher-Schoenauer hunting rifle based on the M1903 action. Quality on par with MO products. Lots of variations on barrel length, stock style and other features. More pictures needed for better ID.
