Found the following in a Wehrpas. Also the front cover has a large red "X" which I assume is to de-nazifie it. Or could it indicate "KIA"? See the attached please. Any help from you experts is sincerely appreciated!

It is a discharge document.

A red cross on page 1 usually means that the men of the ID booklet is deceased, either KIA, dead of natural causes or an accident.
