Nice set of photos you got! I like to collect WW2 Kriegsmarine photos / postcards, love the u-boats as well.

The last series are soldiers armed with the scarce Gew91 carbine.
A few of these I find the most interesting especially the squad of soldiers armed with Gew91 carbines . For one it's a really cool picture and two there is a name on it! And it's marked right underneath one of these soldiers. Also on the back of picture it's marked again I'm curious if this name could be found somewhere.

That last photo is really interesting one of the sailors is armed with 1886 Lebel rifle.

Ludwig Wendt was artilleryman in the 3rd Garde Feldartillerie Regiment, 2nd battalion (Abteilung), 4th battery
I did not find him in our casualties lists

Sounds like he survived the war and made it home does make you wonder what became of him after the war during the post-war era. Thank you for the information Wolfgang
