BYF 44 Advice

Hello, looking to getting a BYF43. Wanted to get a quick legit check on the rifle. Seller states bought from vets son that brought it back. Appears to look clean to me but I know many of you all are much more knowledgeable than I. I’m hoping this will serve as my one and only k98, so hoping it’s a nice all matching that’s not messed with. Thank you!

Saw this one on Gunboards. Looks good to me, proper Mauser-Oberndorf rifle. By the way, I think you meant byf 43 ;-)

Yes! Haha. I haven’t been looking for awhile so my idea on prices are pretty off. 2300 sounds reasonable to me but unsure where the market is. I sold my BYF 44 for 2150.

That’s about right. Maybe a little high for a common maker/year, but it’s not terrible.

Looks like ya got a nice one. The stock appears to be in great condition too. Thanks for showing.
